Efficacia del Microneedling a Radiofrequenza nel trattamento dell'AGA: valutazione clinica di un nuovo dispositivo per la crescita dei capelli.

Androgenetic alopecia is the most common form of alopecia affecting both males and females. In the course of life can affect up to 50% of women and 80% of men causing a progressive hair shedding, hair thinning and reduction of hair pigmentation. Numerous treatments, with variable results, have been proposed to promote hair growth and prevent hair loss. The purpose of this open label, prospective study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a novel microneedle radiofrequency device in inducing hair growth and preventing hair loss. Several patients received 5 microneedle radiofrequency treatments every 3 weeks and were followed up 6 weeks after the last treatment. All patients were evaluated by global photography. Patients demonstrated faster hair growth, fuller hair, an increase in hair thickness and a reduction in hair shedding. The treatments were well tolerated by all patients. No adverse events were observed. Microneedle radiofrequency is effective and safe for hair growth stimulation in AGA. Further research is needed to optimize the treatment protocol and evaluate possible combination therapies.
